Boutique Hotel Villa Giulia Valmadrera, Valmadrera

I had an absolute ideal stay at this hotel, with great rooms, fantastic romantic dinner overlooking Lake Como, very good food and wines, and perfect service from the waiters. However, the room size was way too small for two people with luggage, the tiniest room I've ever had.

I found this hotel to be an absolute gem for a holiday in the charming surroundings of Como, Milan, and Switzerland. The rooms were not overly spacious but had a lovely terrace with a view, perfect for a romantic evening by the lake. The service felt like a warm embrace from Italian family members, making me feel truly welcomed. The location, near the lake with convenient parking, was exquisite despite needing a car outside of ferry season. The dining experience was a mix of exceptional and average, but the coffee and the view were standout features. Overall, a wonderful stay with minor room size constraints.
